Defense Robotics & Industrial Automation. From design to field deployment — with zero margin for failure.
I am an Engineering Project Manager at the intersection of defense robotics and industrial automation. My work sits where complex hardware goes from a requirement on paper to a field-deployed system operating under military-grade acceptance criteria — in conflict environments, with zero margin for failure.
The project that defines my career is Jontro Soinik 1.0, an EOD Remotely Operated Vehicle for the Bangladesh Army. I carried it through mechanical design, FMEA-driven validation, MIL-STD compliance, and final delivery against military acceptance criteria. Three units were deployed for UN Peacekeeping Missions in Mali and the DRC. The system was formally transferred to the Peruvian Armed Forces on 05 May 2024 — Bangladesh's first export of a domestically built defense robot.
I currently direct six concurrent hardware product lines across a 25 Crore BDT portfolio, managing 25 cross-functional engineers from R&D through field delivery. Outcomes: 25% reduction in delivery lead time, 12% cost reduction, 18% faster development cycles.
What distinguishes my profile is the combination of deep technical fluency and project management discipline in a single practitioner. I can define the requirement, design the component, validate the system, manage the team, and present to a defense procurement authority.
EOD Remotely Operated Vehicle · Bangladesh Army · UN Peacekeeping
An EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Remotely Operated Vehicle designed, prototyped, manufactured, assembled, validated, and delivered entirely in Bangladesh. Systems of this class are produced by a handful of countries globally and typically cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per unit from international suppliers. This one was built in Dhaka.
Three units were delivered to DGDP against military acceptance criteria and deployed with the Bangladesh Army Bomb Disposal Unit for UN Peacekeeping Missions in Mali and the Democratic Republic of Congo. On 05 May 2024, the Bangladesh Army formally transferred the system to the Peruvian Armed Forces — the first time Bangladesh had exported a domestically built defense robot to another nation's military.

Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Industrial and Mechanical Engineering and Operations Management (IMEOM 2022), IEOM Society International, December 26–27, 2022, pp. 568–569.
Design and deployment of autonomous robotic systems for unstructured and hazardous environments, with emphasis on field-validated performance.
Mechanical and systems architecture that enables autonomous decision-making — sensor integration, actuation, and robust hardware design for real-world deployment.
Coordination and communication architectures for teams of autonomous agents operating in contested and dynamic environments.
Validation methodologies that bridge high-fidelity simulation and physical deployment, reducing the gap between simulated and real-world performance.
Robotic systems engineered for extreme conditions — radiation, vacuum, explosive ordinance — where human access is limited or impossible.
Interface design and control frameworks that allow operators to effectively command robots in high-stress field environments with minimal cognitive load.
